Makeup Monday| Foundation Routine

I guess I am already falling behind on my blog post -.-!
I did not realize that I totally did not put up my fashion friday video! duh im kinda of an idiot I suppose!
but if you want to check out the lookbook of a summer out fit of the day just head over to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT1Wl0zh0DQ and check out the video!! :)
And I am losing my schedule of everything because I thought Yesterday was Monday but instead it was actually Tuesday, which I suppose you already know!, so I did not have a chance to write a blog post and did not get the video up until super late!
but I am doing it now so it counts right?!
Anyways today there will be two blog posts I suppose for my what I ate Wednesday and my Makeup Monday!

ALRIGHT! enough chit chat time to get started on Makeup Monday!
For this Monday I did my Foundation Routine, which I have recently switch from less of a drug store routine to more of a higher end. I decided to switch it up because I am having a really hard time trying to find a drugstore foundation that I truly am obsessed with!
So, I went to Sephora a couple of weeks ago and asked the employee there to help match me with a foundation. She was extremely helpful and I really enjoyed her tips that she gave me. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but if you live in the Burlington Vermont area and go to the University Mall that is where I get the best service at Sephora!

So, the main questions she asked me was about my skin and if there were any problems that would help better match me with a foundation. However, it was fairly easy to match a makeup foundation to my face because I have close to normal skin. However, the best thing about Sephora they make sure to ask these questions so they can best match you to a foundation. So, I 100% recommend if you need to find a foundation check out Sephora because you get the help you need to match your skin tone well and one that suits you best!
After talking to the employee for a bit she matched me with Urban Decay's Naked Basics Foundation in 3.0 which I could not believe how well it matched my skin tone! It is an amazing foundation because you can put on a basic coat and it fits well, buttt you can also build on the foundation if needed.

However, before she matched my colour I asked her for a really good primer because I usually use the Porfessional by Benefit and never really got the long lasting results that I had hoped for. So, she knew that I had close to normal skin so she matched me with the Smashbox Photo ready Primer!

Also what is amazing out Smashbox is that this company also offers several different Primers to suit your facial needs!!

Also this primer is really awesome because a little goes a longgg way. The amount that I use is usually a dime to a nickels worth. It is also long lasting and works really well!!

Next, after adding the primer and Foundation I asked for a setting powder. So, she suggested that I use the Tarte setting powder. I is really great long lasting and I really really enjoy it.

Overall, I really appreciated the employee at Sephora for all her wonderful help and I am extremely happy with her help for opening up new products to me.

You can check out the foundation routine video here! or on my youtube page!

-Nicole
